The rent is 800 each. The landlord wants one payment a month for 2400. The landlord doesn’t want three different payments of 800. Can we organize to have one parent make the payments and just get a receipt at the end of the year from the landlord for each parent .

As long as each student/parent receives a receipt for their share paid for the year, you can each claim your $800/month. You need to keep a receipt should the Canada Revenue Agency request it in the future.
