U.S. Canada tax treaty - Tax on Interest
Article XI says that "Interest arising in a Contracting State and beneficially owned by a
resident of the other Contracting State may be taxed only in that other State. "
So, for a U.S. citizen living in Canada, is interest earned in the U.S. taxed only in Canada?

I would recommend posting your question on the US TurboTax site, as they are better able to help with questions about US taxes. You can visit the here: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/home/misc/03/en-us
