Under business expenses for self employed, I want to include my rent as I use my home for office purposes. Do I add electricity, water, & rent as monthly or yearly figure

You would enter the number of expenses as a yearly figure. You should keep in mind the number of expenses is limited to the area in which you conducted your business and that the business should be primarily run from your home. if you'd like to know more about home office deductions and tax deductions for the self-employed, here are two great TurboTax articles.
