Why did I not get the chance to enter my rent paid for the property tax credit?

There is a dialogue box under the heading Your Taxes.  You do not need to upgrade your version of TurboTax in order to claim rent or property tax.  See the attachment for clarification.

When using TurboTax Free, click on the dialogue box under the heading titled Your Taxes and type in ONBEN and select it.

Click on the drop down box next to Ontario Energy and Property Tax Credit.

Answer yes to the question, "Do you qualify for the 2017 OEPTC and want to apply for the credit?" and click on next.

You will then be prompted to enter the details of your rent.

If you have already NETFILED your income tax return, you can make a correction but not through NETFILE.  This is how you can fix it.

There is no dialogue under any heading called Your Taxes.......so why not just tell if I pay for the upgrade we will help you, until then we gotta ya
