2025 and this is still an issue. You need to find a work around for this. I will not be using your product going forward.
@sjamesbj We don't allow printing or saving to PDF until NETFILE opens because there are usually forms that are not finalized until then. Also, the CRA will not process any returns (even those that are mailed in) until NETFILE opens for that tax year. Not allowing printing helps prevent customers from accidentally sending in flawed tax information or sending returns in early and wondering why it’s taking so long to receive their NOAs.
If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can go into Forms mode and look at your T1 & schedules.
If you are using TurboTax Online, you can click on View Detailed Tax Summary at the top of the page to see what has populated in the T1 line numbers.
I need the forms for my bank and preventing me from printing or saving as a PDF until NETFILE is open unnecessary. A watermark on the print/PDF would be better than preventing any printing/PDFing whatsoever. The fact that people have been experiencing the issue since at least 2018 and Intuit has decided on the drastic option instead of something that would work for everyone is why I will not be using them next year.
@sjamesbj I will pass on your comments & suggestions to our product development team.
Thank you for your input.
