Can I claim home expenses on two different businesses that I run out of my home? One is a cleaning business the other is an online digital marketing business?

I have 2 businesses that I operate out of my home. A residential home cleaning business, and an online digital marketing business. Can I expense my home expenses (Mrtg interest, power, water, electricity etc) on both business statements or how do I deal with that?

Hello, as long as the the amounts claimed are representing the actual usage of expenses for those business (and they are not duplicating or overlapping), then yes, you can. For example, if you have home expenses allocation of 50% for both businesses, you will need to split this 50% within each of two businesses to claim those expenses. Hope that helps.
