On the T5008, box 16 form the number is like the 999.9990.(4 decimal places). When
entered I get a error message stating 'Please enter a dollar value in the
format of 9999.99'. T5008, box 16 is for Quantity of Securities not for a $
amount, why am I getting this error message?
This box is only an information box and not a calculation box so if you shorten the decimals down to only two spaces, say 999.99, the entry should be accepted by the program and will allow you to continue without any impact on the actual tax calculation numbers in your return.
