I am in a stage reporting my moving expenses (from my old home to the new work place). TurboTax is asking me about Eligible Income At New Location. What is it?

Thank you for choosing TurboTax,

As per CRA,

If you are an employee, your net eligible income is equal to the amounts reported on your T4 Slip or T4A Slips relating to the new work location and that are included on line 10100 or line 10400, minus any amount relating to the new work location claimed on line 20700, line 21200, line 22215, line 22900, line 23100, and line 23200 of your return.

If you are self-employed, your net eligible income is generally equal to the net amounts earned at the new work location that are included on lines 13500, 13700, 13900, 14100, and 14300, minus any amounts claimed on line 21200 and line 22200 of your return.

It is important because If your net moving expenses (line 21 of Form T1-M, Moving Expenses Deduction) paid in the year of the move are more than the net eligible income (line 22 of Form T1-M) earned at the new work location in that same year, you can carry forward and deduct the unused part of those expenses from your employment or self-employment income earned at the new work location and report on your return for the following years.
