If i have a women coming to my house and i etransfer her cash to watch my kid while i work, can i claim that? i have the etransfer as proof?

Or would that mean that if i claimed that, then the lady would also have to claim those few dollars i send her as income as well?

Yes, you might be able to claim this as a childcare expense, provided that the person who cared for your child was not

  • your child's parent
  • your spouse or common-law partner, if you are the father or the mother of the eligible child
  • a person for whom you or another person claimed the amount for an eligible dependant or the caregiver amount on your return or their return:
  • a person under 18 years of age who is related to you

This Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) page has more information on what you can claim as a childcare expense: Line 21400 - What payments can you claim?

The woman who is taking care of your child should report the money you give her. She can report it as Line 10400 – Other employment income (Employment income not reported on a T4 slip).
