I made a minuscule amount of "self-employment" income, a single sale, last year. I do have to report it. TurboTax is making me upgrade to Self-Employed for this (which costs more than the profit I made). It has also suggested upgrading to Deluxe due to investments, charitable donation, etc. Does the self-employment version also cover those features, or will I end up having to purchase both (and maybe more)? Any advice?
You will need to purchase TurboTax Self-Employed as you are self-employed and this will cover everything that you need to claim.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
This is such a scam. For a decade, 'Deluxe' has been just fine for me... now you want to almost double my cost because.......... reasons?
Just more ways this **bleep** country is trying to kill small business. Shame on you.
