Sole proprietorship, where do I enter subcontractor expenses?

In TurboTax Canada for a sole proprietorship, subcontractor expenses are generally entered on Form T2125 (Statement of Business or Professional Activities) under the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) section, specifically Line 8360—Subcontracts.

Steps in TurboTax (Online/Desktop)

  1. Navigate to the Income & Expenses section of your business.
  2. Go to the Expenses section.
  3. Look for "Cost of goods sold" or "Raw materials and goods" to find the Subcontractors/Subcontracts entry field.
  4. If not found directly, you can often add this under "Other common business expenses" or by using the search bar for "subcontractor."
