Where do I enter the purchase of my new laptop and new cellphone? They are used for self-employed business but not 100%.

I see a line for 'lease' of such equipment, but not sure where to claim a purhcase of equipment.

If you use your laptop for business, you can deduct the expense. Rather than being a "usual" expense, laptops are considered to be capital costs. This simply means that instead of deducting the full cost, the expense is deducted over time - similar to your car.

Your expenses are classified as follows:

Cell phone - the cost of the phone itself is a capital cost (class 8). Monthly usage is an expense.

New computer - capital cost (class 50) If you purchased software such as Microsoft Office or Photoshop, also capital cost (class 12).
