Can I transfer left-over tuition credits to my partner (who is a student) even though I'm no longer a student and do not have a T2202A?

2017 was the first year that I was NOT a university student, but I still have leftover credits. Last year, (when I was a student), I transferred some of my credits to my spouse and I had to sign the back of my T2202A to do so. Since I don't have a T2202A for 2017, I'm wondering if I can still transfer those to him.

Unfortunately, if you have tuition that's been carried forward, you can no longer transfer it. This is true for both Federal and Provincial credits.
