My RRSP tax receipt has two boxes.
One has my RRSP amount contributed in taxation year 2014
The other is called "Paid within 60 days after end of 2014".
For the first box does that include contributions made Jan 1 to March 1 2014? If so then I already included that amount in my 2013 tax return and I should be deducting this amount so I don't report it again in for my 2014 tax return. It comes down to the definition of "taxation year 2014". Is it Jan 1, 2014 to Dec 31, 2014 or March 1, 2014 to Dec 31, 2014?
The amount for the fist box is from March to Dec of 2014 and the next box is for the first 60 days of 2015.
So if you included the first 60 days of 2014 on your 2013 tax return you have completed the forms correctly and that amount should not be included on the slip for the remainder of 2014 which you will now claim on your 2014 tax return. Your slip that you claimed on your 2013 taxes would have had the 2nd box for that year completed (first 60 days of 2014)
