From my understanding, tax law assumes that any full-time post-secondary student has the financial support of their families. I was estranged from my family starting uni.

I've tried taking off the RRSP income that came in every year because it never landed in my hands nor did I sign any papers to receive any RRSP. I have been estranged from my family since the start of my university career and have struggled to make ends meet during my time in post-secondary education. Because I kept removing the RRSPs from my tax returns, I'm afraid if might end up hurting me and I would like to deal with this appropriately. What are next steps that I should take when approaching this issue?
