How do I use my carried forward tuition? On the student summary is says that $0 is claimed for 2017. I owe for this year, so shouldn't I be able to use it?

If you did not transfer in your information from last year’s return or use the CRA Auto-fill, you will need to manually enter in your carried forward tuition. If you are using the Forms method, click on the “Forms” icon in the blue menu. Search for “CFP”. Select “CFP – Carry Forwards From 2016” and then click the “OK” button. You can add your unused Federal & Provincial tuition in the “Tuition & Education Amount” section, which is the 3rd on the page.
