I don't think I've had to complete a "pension income worksheet" in past years. Do I have to do it? And if so, why?

Did you use a different edition of TurboTax in prior years? In TurboTax Basic, you enter the majority of your info directly on the tax forms and supporting worksheets.

In TurboTax Standard (and higher), you can choose to work on the forms but most people prefer to use the EasyStep Interview. When in the EasyStep Interview, TurboTax asks you straightforward questions and transfers your info into all the right spots on the forms for you.
