I need to deduct a transfer to a Locked In Retirement Account. Where do I enter this amount?

I left a company in which I had contributed to a registered pension plan. They gave me a T4A which indicated the total lump sum payment of the settlement with a small amount of income tax deducted.  This lump sum amount included included the pension amount which was transferred to a Locked In Retirement Account (LIRA) managed by my bank.

Where do I deduct this pension amount in TurboTax?

Since you received a T4A the amount to transfer should be indicated in the appropriate box which there will be a corresponding field for in TurboTax software.  As long as you input all of the figures indicated on your slip into the software you are covered.
