I want to move my RRSP contribution from HBP to regular RRSP deduction, turbo tax automatically put to HBP repayment

  • Click on Find (magnifying glass) in the top right-hand corner. Type "home" in the box, then select "Home Buyers Plan" from the list, and click “Go”.
  • Leave the box next to “Designate an amount as a Home Buyers' Plan repayment” checked and click the “Continue” button.
  • On the next page, you can change how much you want to designate as a Home Buyers' Plan repayment.

Please note that if you are required to make a HBP repayment, if you have less than the full amount of the repayment designated, then the difference will be added to your income. This Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) webpage has more information: How to repay the funds withdrawn from RRSP(s) under the Home Buyers’ Plan (HBP)
