If your employer did not deduct CPP and EI contributions from your pay, you won't be able to just manually enter these amounts. As the employer must remit the contributions held from an employee's pay, as well as their share of the contributions, if none were withheld from you there is not much you can do about this.

  • Depending on what type of tax slip they have issued you (if any), you may be able to make CPP Contributions if the amounts you were paid were over $3,500 and you are required to report them as "Self-Employed Earnings".
  • EI insurable earnings must be reported on a T4 and EI contributions reported in Box 18.
