Every time I edit my cpp income it adds to the total income. Why does it add the edit?

According to Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) retirement pension is a monthly, taxable benefit that replaces part of your income when you retire. Your CPP retirement pension counts as income and is taxable.
