I have a pension from a US company that I used to work for before moving to Canada. Is it covered by the US/CAN Tax Treaty ie "pension income exempt" on the Foreign Slip?

Yes, that is correct! That amount will translate to line 11500 of your tax return.

Thanks! Its actually a defined benefit pension paid by a company

I see where Social Security is handled on the "Foreign Slip" but I'm not sure if my company pension should go under "Other Pension Income" or "Pension Income Exempt Under a Tax Treaty"

Thanks again, John
