How to get a refund from CPP

Hi

The company was obligated to deduct CPP until the end of the month that you turned 70, unless you completed a CPT30 between the ages of 65 - 70.

If they continued taking the deduction after that month, you will receive a CPP over contribution credit on your tax return.  You will be able to see this in under the review tab -> Bottom Line tax summaries -> detailed tax summary -> Line 448

They should cease the CPP deduction, as it would be in their best interest since the employer has to contribute a matching amount to the employee's deduction.

I believe it is showing as an overpayment under CPP. I do not have numbered lines on my return. It is showing a 93.29 credit on an overpayment and seeing as my age is over 65 then I should be entitled the full amount of 313.09 that I paid into CPP.

That would only apply if you provided a signed CPT30 to stop CPP contributions at some time after you turned 65.   If you did you will need to enter that information in your return.

If you did not complete a CPT30 - you should see an increase in your CPP benefits due to the extra contributions.
