Should my spouse's pension income be reduced by the amount he splits with me?

When I use the pension splitting optimizer and I enter the amount of my spouse's pension income that we have agreed to split, my income reflects the added pension income, but my spouse's pension income is not reduced by the same amount.  Do I have a technical glitch?

The deduction for the split pension happens later in the return. Look at line number 210. The net income at line 236 will reflect the pension split.
