The federal and provincial tuition/education amount claimed in 2024 is not on my T2202 and I did not input it, but it appears in my summary. Where did it come from?

Did you have unused tuition from previous years? If so, it could have come in if you transferred your TurboTax info from last year to your 2024 return, or if you used Auto-Fill.

To change/remove unused tuition from previous years in TurboTax Online:

  1. Go to the Tax Home page and search for “Students”.
  2. Leave “Unused tuition fees and education amounts from previous years” checked off.
  3. Continue through the pages until you get to the “Your unused tuition and education amount” page.
  4. Make your changes and then click “Continue” to save them
  5. Then you can go back to Step 2 & uncheck “Unused tuition fees and education amounts from previous years” if you would like.
