The rule for reimbursed tuition is that you can claim the tuition credit if the reimbursement amount is included in your taxable income. In other words, if the tuition has been added to your T4, you can claim the credit. If you're not being taxed on the reimbursement, you cannot claim the tuition credit.

Check your T4 slip - usually, a taxable benefit like tuition will appear in Box 40. If you aren't sure if the reimbursement has been included in your income, contact the payroll department for clarification.
