TurboTax will not let me continue, because it's asking me the yer of death cannont precede the current taxt year." I've entered a date in 2019. What's the problem?

We are very sorry for your loss.  Since you are preparing the income tax return for the 2018 tax year and the individual did not pass away until 2019, the income tax return would not be considered a deceased return.
