What are the benefits of transferring my tuition fees?

Do I just type in my eligible tuition fees in part A of the T2202A tax form? Or should I consider other ways to deal with that amount?

The benefit of transferring your tuition credits to someone else is that it will help reduce his/her net federal or net provincial tax owing.  If you do not need your tuition credits to reduce your own net federal or net provincial tax owing, you can carry the amount forward to a future year when your taxable income is higher.
