Why is Pension Plan Income listed in Box 16, "CPP Contributions"?

Why is Pension Plan Income listed in Box 16, "CPP Contributions"?

It appears that the pension income has been mistakenly entered in the employment income section. In other words, instead of entering the T4A information on the T4A screen, it has been entered in a T4 screen. Or in the case of Canada Pension Plan income, the T4A(P) income has been listed on the T4 screen.

Don't worry it's an easy fix. Use the Find button in the upper right to search for T4. Then once you land on the T4 summary screen, select Delete for the misplaced slip. Then you'll just need to enter the pension info in the right section T4A(P) for CPP income or T4A for other pension plan income. You can locate those options by using the Find button as well.
