Can I use TurboTax to prepare my Québec TP1 tax return in English or French?

To prepare your tax return in English:

• Go to TurboTax.ca.
• On the Don’t second-guess your taxes screen, select Get started.
• On the Choose your TurboTax product screen, under the product of your choice, select Get started and then sign in.

To prepare your tax return in French:

• Go to turboImpot.ca.
• On the Ne laissez plus vos impôts vous ronger de doute screen, select Ne laissez plus vos impôts vous ronger de doute and select Commencer.
• On the Choisissez votre produit TurboImpôt screen, find the product you want, select Commencer, and then sign in.

You can use the same sign-in credentials (user ID and password) to sign in to either language version of TurboTax. To switch languages, sign out from the language version that's currently active, then sign in to the other version.

To prepare your tax return in TurboTax Desktop:

• In English:
  • Go to Get going with your TurboTax product.
  • On the Get going with your TurboTax product screen, under How to download TurboTax, follow the instructions for the product of your choice, and select Get Started.
• In French:
  • Go to Get going with your TurboTax product.
  • On the Get going with your TurboTax product screen, in the upper right corner, select the En^ dropdown and select Français Canadien. 
  • On the Commencez avec votre logiciel TurboImpôt screen, select Commencer.
  • Under Comment télécharger TurboImpôt, follow the instructions for how to buy and install the TurboTax Desktop French product of your choice.

You can download and install both language versions of the product on the same computer using the same license code, and use either one to prepare your taxes.
