Need help filing 2023 taxes after already paying them

I tried to eFile my taxes using TurboTax but had an issue.  There apparently was an issue with my 2022 taxes and the eFile process rejected filing the 2023 taxes because the information couldn't be verified.  I followed the recommendation to go to the IRS site and pay the taxes owed for 2023 which would automatically file an extension.  So, I've paid the money, but I still need to file my taxes.  The 2022 issue is resolved with the IRS (after 2 hours on the phone) so the eFile process should work now.  I paid the amount I owed directly on the IRS site for 2023 on April 15th, but can I use eFile to send my tax forms in but not have it deduct from my bank account since I've already paid the full amount?  What do I need to do?  I didn't use TurboTax to request the extension (based on recommendation in TurboTax).

Yes you can e-file.  When the software asks how you want to pay your tax owed, just say you will mail a check.  TurboTax never knows how, when or even if you paid your tax due.  The IRS does not provide any updates to TT regarding your payments.  Your TurboTax account will always show the result of the return you prepared using the software, so it will always show you have tax due.  That will not change on the TT site.
