Enter "Other - not classified" or "Other – not on above list", the last choice on the drop-down list of available categories for Box 14.
You could also enter "Other mandatory deductible state or local tax not listed". Your entry here will not affect your ability to e-file or your tax calculation.
Employers can put just about anything in box 14; it's a catch-all for items that don't have their own dedicated box on the W-2.
If you don't see a category in the TurboTax list that matches your W-2 entry (NYPFL), don’t worry. We'll figure out if it impacts your return or not. If we need more information, we'll ask you.

re/'Box 14 is informational only and does not need to be entered, usually.". I see many times a statement to that affect is said.
But isn't it true that depending what specific category you use from the pulldown, your taxes (either for Fed or State) ARE affected? In other words, sometimes it indicates a deductible mandatory state tax that isn't taxable on your federal, but other categories might be?? (like the medical cited in the reply?)
Help me understand why people say this?
@AndrewQQ The NYPSL-E amount is Box 14 means that this amount of Sick Leave was included in your Box 1 Wages on your W-2.
It is not a tax or deduction. It's for your information.
If it was a tax you paid, it would be shown in Boxes 15-20.
Here's more info about Box 14.
Thank you very much MarilynG1!
