Any timeline as to when SOFTWARE GLITCH (Desktop Std Edition) will be rectified in regards to Capital gains from T3 slips not included in calculation of taxes? This is a pretty serious issue.......
For the error on the T3 slip not balancing box 52+53 to equal box 21A, trying to enter the sum of 52+53 into box 53 (deleting 52) should fix the problem.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
Hi TurboTaxAniqua - your response is not to the issue I'm raising.......My issue (and that of countless other people!) is that Capital Gains reported on T3 slips are not included in calculation of taxes.........MAYOR ISSUE! Thanks!
We are aware of this issue, and our development team is working on a resolution. Currently we don't have any ETA. Once it is resolved, we will update you in this thread. We appreciate your patience.
No this does not fix the problem. When will TurboTax fix the error re: T3s and capital gains reporting?
@kjulia If you are using TurboTax Desktop, some updates were available last week. Can you please make sur your software is updated and try again.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
I always update Turbotax when updates are available. The problem re: T3s and capital gains continues to persist. What are Turbotax and CRA doing about this?
In order to assist you can you confirm what boxes you are entering on your T3 slip? Can you explain what amount doesn't show and on which schedule or form?
If you have an amount in box 21, please make sure the same amount is in box 52 or 53 (either or not both). The amount will reflect on schedule 3.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax
