I'm waiting for TT update as I've already paid for the software but if you can't wait...H&R Block is working fully even with a Capital Loss. When I say working I mean at least the T936 and lines 68140 and 68150 are correct. Now about Netfiling it without any errors....I haven't done that.
@Freddie44 We are aware of this issue, and working with the CRA on a resolution.
We appreciate your patience.
I discovered something odd on April 9: Error 68140 (no carryforward of total capital gains on T3 forms to T936 line 68140) still occurs on returns started and saved before April 9, but the error does not occur on new returns started today. Does this mean we have to restart our existing returns?
Same issue 50/50 split of T3s. Reported by calling March 28/25, have not seen any email from Turbotax with an update. IT seems to be very slow addressing this reading through everyone's issues.
My concern with the banner that has been posted is that TurboTax is not fully understanding the problem we are experiencing, at least those of us with capital losses. It is not so much a problem due to the change in government policy as it is a function of the software that is not pulling information correctly from the T-slips.
My hope for myself as well as the future of the software providers is that they correct this by the April 14th deadline they have provided. Failure to do so will be unfortunate for all involved, as in some cases we are counting on one spouses refund to pay the other spouses taxes owing by April 30th.

I totally agree. According to CRA/Turbo Tax the issue of error 95365 have been resolved as per below
Error issue: There are entries for capital gains on T3 information slips and CRA has indicated that there may be a rounding issue.
Customer action: For all T3 slips in your return: - Remove the amount from Box 52, if applicable (leave it blank) - Enter the sum of Box 52 + Box 53 in Box 53 - Ensure Box 53 equals the amount in Box 21 If the error persists, try rounding the box amounts (21 and 53) to the nearest dollar and submit via NETFILE once more. Try filing after April 7, 2025.
Expected resolution date: Adjustments were made to the production system on April 7, 2025 to address erroneous instances of this error code due to rounding issues.
Above does not address issue of program not reporting capital gain from the T3 in box 68140 of the T936 if overall you have capital loss.
No resolution from the CRA currently
Error codes 2508, 2515, 45555, 45566, 90308, 95031, or 99915
Resolved error codes as of April 7, 2025
Expected resolution as of April 14, 2025
Other known errors you can troubleshoot
above update I got via email from TurboTax. Haven’t tried to refile mine yet.
Agreed. My return still shows zero on line 68140 and clicking it takes me to the T3 that shows the dollar amount in box 21.
When will this be fixed?
I can fully appreciate that it is not easy to anticipate and pivot software changes on a dime especially when the government makes last minute changes in policy such as the capital gains tax rates. However, it seems that the government has basically back-tracked on the capital gains calculation to where it was last fiscal year. With that being said, I would have expected that the software companies would have been able to go back to the “status-quo” of how the software was working in the 2023 tax year and utilized this to create the 2024 program. As long as they understand our concern and rectify it in two more days, I will be content. If this does not happen, it will not be pleasant to be on the customer service end at TurboTax. I have used this software for at least 30 years and this is the first issue I have had with it. I would prefer to remain a customer,
Do we have your assurances that the issue of having capital losses from a T5008 and a capital gain on the T3 will be resolved on or before April 14. i.e. will the capital gain on Line 17600 from the T3 slip transfer to Line 68140 on Form T936. This does not appear to be a CRA issue, but rather a TurboTax product defect.
This has been a very frustrating experience that we have been dealing with for three weeks now. I am expecting a large refund and would like to know that I will be able to Netfile on Monday.
