Desktop version will not install (2023)

- I bought online Turbotax premier from Best Buy

- They send me the download link and Key

- Attempted to install the software however it requires I upgrade to windows 11

- My laptop will not support windows 11 and best buy will not refund me the $92

You do not need to upgrade to Windows 11 to use TurboTax 2023. 

Can you please let us know what it says on the box you purchased? If it says TurboTax Online Premier- you will go to turbotax.ca/activate with your code and activate it. Then sign into your TurboTax account. If you do not have one you will create one. 

If you purchased TurboTax DOWNLOAD VERSION - WINDOWS ONLY

Then you will download your software through this TurboTax Link. Please make sure that you are on Microsoft Edge- then download it- also if you have a firewall or an anti-virus on your computer shut it down for the installation then turn it back on immediately after. If it still doesn't work you will need to verify that you 

have Microsoft Visual C++,  and that you are running as the Admin.
