Will never ever use them again.
totally useless company.
@nerdboyjoe I am having doubts it will be fixed before the filing deadline. I'm not concerned about getting the MAX refund. LOL
I was tricked into believing their "fix" was actually working. Was able to open up Turbo Tax and it finally did the update, but after entering the T3 information for the thousandth time, the same errors are appearing. This is just beyond words!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Indeed it is-I recommend inundating customer service with calls-I called 10 times today!
really donāt believe it will ever be fixed
I miss the moderators. They seem to have disappeared. I really can't blame them dealing with this cluster f**k!
So earlier today the software update would not apply. I just tried it again now and it worked.
I still got the weird CRA warnings and it would not allow me to file. Then I decided to move an entry from one Box 53 to another Box 53 on the same page. Then I saved the changes and went back to File option. This time it let me file my return.
I have to say this is a shameful way for a software company to behave. This is nothing to fool around with. By buying their product we are relying on their professionalism to assist us in filing our tax returns.
I know next year I will try a different company's product and I will recommend to all of my fiends to consider making a change.
@SilverAce68 Can you clarify what you mean by you moved an entry from one box 53 to another box 53?
On one of the T3's I had a capital gain in Box 21 which meant I had to allocate it to either Box 52 or Box 53. There are two boxes 52 and 53 depending on whether they are Canadian or Foreign, I moved to the Canadian Box 53. and it worked. I hope it helps.

Actually, as per CRA's T3 Trust Guide ā 2024:
Box 52 ā Capital gains from dispositions before June 25, 2024
Box 53 ā Capital gains from dispositions after June 24, 2024

Excellent! I speculated in one of my posts yesterday that the workaround of moving everything into box 53 might work. Here's what I said:
"To workaround the issue with CRA's validation not taking into account line 17599, one possible one that I can think of is to put the sum of box 52 and box 53 into box 53 and clear out box 52 on all your T3 slips, and make sure that it equals what is in box 21. The distinction between box 52 and 53 is now irrelevant because the government rolled back the change that would have made that distinction matter (Google that if you want to fact check it)."
