I live in Ontario, but I don't want to claim the climate action incentive. Turbotax is adding the credit automatically on my account. How would I opt out of this?
The software automatically applies the credit when you enter your province at the beginning of your tax return. Further information is provided once you open the “Provincial” section where the questions are asked specifically and if you do not want to claim the credit this is where you will check "No". If you have already claimed the credit you will not be able to unclaim it. You will have to start a new return.
