I have someone who is an Uber Driver - and has registered for and collected HST for that business, who also has HomeStay income, and did not collect HST on it. Will CRA ONLY expect her to submit the HST earned on the Uber income? Or will CRA expect HST to be paid on both forms of income even if it wasn't collected and could not be charged on the HomeStay Income. I recorded the HomeStay Income and related expenses in it's own Business Statement T2125.
Thanks in advance for help.
I found my answer on the Canada.com site. As it is considered long term rental, such income is not subject to HST.
