Hello all, I'm stuck in some sort of existential time loop using Intuit online. Intuit was erroneously saying my tax return had self-employment income and that I had flipped property; while the first error seems to have been resolved, it still thinks I have flipped property. To proceed, its requiring me to purchase the Premier. The added problem I can no longer go back to my tax profile - I can only go to my Detailed Summary. When I click "Done with summary," it brings me back to the page to purchase Premier. I cannot escape this loop. The option on the left-hand menu to go back to my tax return home page has disappeared.
I would greatly appreciate any input on a) how to break this loop and b) how to correct the return from thinking I have flipped property.
There are two possibilities that could be forcing you to upgrade.
1. After selecting "I sold a home" it should show two topics to being added on the income card "Principal residence" and "Residential property flipping". Do not click "start" on the second and you should avoid getting pushed to upgrade.
2. If the "Sale of your Principal Residence" wasn't always a principal residence i.e "some of the years owned" was selected instead of "all years owned", then the upgrade is required.
