I noticed on the T5008 forms imported from CRA the dates aren't populated. Will I need to edit the T5008 forms to add the dates or is it unimportant?

Even if the data was imported straight from the CRA, you should still update the T5008 forms with the missing dates.

The CRA regularly neglects to enter the date of disposition (Box 14) in their online system, despite the fact that importing data saves time. To ensure that the capital gains on your T5008 are correctly transferred to Schedule 3, you must enter the date. The T5008s are not correctly included in your tax return calculations if you do not include a date.
