Hi,
In 2022 I worked five months (May to September) for a USA company remotely in my Canadian home as freelancer.
Then worked for a Canadian company on T4 from October onwards.
Is premier enough to declare foreign employment income?
Because If I enter foreign income in the section above and continue with the next steps turbotax then reaches the self employment section.
If I select Yes I must upgrade to the self employed package but the issue I am having is let us say I entered 1000$ (in the previous section) and also 1000$ in this self-employment section turbotax seems to add both these values together thinking I have 2000$ which I don't so I feel either I shouldn't enter income on the previous section (first screenshot I added) and only enter it in self employed or enter it in previous section and skip self employment section and not upgrading to self employed.
hope this makes sense.
thanks for any help.
