2024 year-over-year comparison

Are you a tax professional? The version I am using the year over year comparison does not exist. There is no TAX HOME on the left side and no option to review other than the PDF. I have filed with Turbo Tax since 2018 and have been able to see the comparison every year up until this year.

What is the process if you do not have the option of "TAX HOME" on the left hand menu. Is this a feature open to some people and not others? I have filed with Turbo Tax since 2018 and every year there has been a comparison. And a side menu that made it easy to navigate and see. Now there is nothing. Using this program this year has been infuriating. Next year I will be moving onto other software even though it will take effort to transfer my details and carry-overs information. So frustrating to have a software make changes that decrease the user experience of their product.

Home is the house on the left. I will try to post pics. After you click there, then review and follow through about 6 or more prompts. Not ideal, I agree but I did not build this.

Thanks for the screenshots. I can follow with those but when I click on VIEW under the REVIEW tab all I get is a summary for 2024. No year on year comparison. Can you show how you were able to access this feature?

Continue drilling throw the prompts. It is there a few pages on...after certifying.

No problem. This is a horrible lay out and I am hoping ,for those that decide to continue with TT in the future, that they sort out this layout. TT admins and higher ups....take note...your new program sucks!

Agreed on many levels. Removing the detailed side menu that gave an overview to navigate while inputting information is a deal breaker for me and I will move to other software next year. Finding anything is a nightmare as the interface pushes you through surface level questions. On multiple occasions I had to make my way through the entire return hitting continue, continue, continue to navigate to the section of the return I wanted.
I was trusting I would be able to see the side by side comparison at the end to make sure I hadn't missed anything.

Did they run these "improvements" through any testing or with any users? I have a relatively simple return, am single, youngish, computer literate and with a bookkeeping background yet I found the interface confusing and infuriating. I cannot think anyone finds these changes are improvements.

Thanks for your help sorting out my year over year question! Before you replied with the screenshots I called the TurboTax help line and the person told me the feature wasn't available this year - so it seems like we aren't the only ones confused!

Adding my voice to those dismayed at the current (2024 tax year) software version!

The year-over-year comparison does not seem to be available once you have filed.  I did find it -- with MUCH difficulty prior to being fully completed and filing, but now that I have filed and want to print it, it seems to no longer be available. Really Intuit, this is a pretty important user feature -- where are your UI experts???
