Entering T3 Information and has Box 21 Captial Gains value not properly handling the gains when split 50% with spouse

I have a T3 and value in Box 21 for capital gains.  I enter the slip information once.  I ask it to split it with my spouse.  The split seems to work OK with the exception that it is not handling the split properly on the Schedule 3.  I see the full amount allocated to me and then it does the calculation on that amount.  On my Spouse's Schedule 3 there is no values.  When I go to netfile, Turbotax complains that I have a capital gains for my spouse but Schedule 3 is not filled in correctly.

Called TT Support.  Did not get any answer other than sounds like a glitch.  Support is working many tickets.

But no indication that he was reporting my so called glitch to them so how do they know about the problem or how do I know that they are already aware of this?

Support is not very good.  Keeps pushing you to the community in hopes that you might find an answer but this is not a user error.  There is a bug.

Yes, we are aware of an issue with the T3 and its part of the capital gains.

Entering T3 Information and has Box 21 Captial Gains value not properly handling the gains when split 50% with spouse

Hi, I just updated TT and Schedule 3 is still not correct.  Has this been fixed?  If so, why am i not seeing the capital gains split between myself and my spouse?

Thx

WORKAROUND THAT WORKED FOR ME:  for dual return files (self/spouse):

For all T3s: enter 100% ownership at top and then half of all values into boxes.  (I also only entered capital gains in box 53, using the same value as line 21, half the total, instead of dividing the time periods).

Then values for line 68140 on T936 were correct and agreed with Schedule 3 line 17600, and I could NETFILE both returns.

Yes I was not wanting to do that.  The software should be doing it correctly.

Eliminates me putting in errors.

Thx
