my brother move from Ontario to Newfoundland in August 2025. He has modified his address with CRA but i don't have the choice of Newfoundland at the beginning in Turbo Tax

If he lived in Newfoundland on December 31, 2025, he would be considered a resident of Newfoundland for the entire tax year, regardless of the fact that he lived in Ontario earlier in the year. 

Here is how to handle the province selection in TurboTax:

Go to the "Introduction" or "Personal Profile" section: Look at the left-hand navigation menu or the top tabs.

Edit "Residence Information": Find the specific screen that asks, "In which province or territory did you reside on December 31, 2025?"

Change the selection: Change "Ontario" to "Newfoundland and Labrador."

Update the "Mailing Address": Ensure the current Newfoundland address is entered here as well.
