One of the unhelpful comments from the help desk was maybe start a new tax return.
I said that I was trying to submit my taxes return...not looking to start over.
The CRA has announced systems tax calculator errors that may affect your ability to file. These errors are affecting all CRA-certified tax software across Canada.
TurboTax is in direct contact with senior Government of Canada officials at CRA, underscoring the urgent need for accountability and decisive action to resolve these issues for our customers and all Canadians.
If you see one of these error codes, please visit What does my NETFILE error code mean and how do I fix it?
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
Platitudes are really not useful at this time. Filing deadline is April 30th. Simple answer would be much more useful. Will it be fixed before the deadline or do we need to look at different software which does not have this issue so that we do not miss the deadline.
From Globe and Mail (February 13)
Individual taxpayers reporting a capital gain or loss in 2024 will have until June 2 to file a 2024 tax return without incurring interest or late-filing penalties, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) revealed to Globe Advisor on Thursday. The deadline for filing an individual T1 return is April 30.

100% agree!
After today's update TurboTax will not boot up. Will only start if I answer NO in dialog box asking to allow INTUIT to make changes to computer. There is obviously a bug with the update. This tax season is turning out to be quite a challenge.
Same thing happened to me.
When did the Trump Administration take over running Intuit?
@gordpope The kludgy procedure of uninstalling and then reinstalling from https://turbotax.intuit.ca/tax/software/download worked for me. If you are worried that uninstalling might delete your tt24 files (it didn't delete mine), then a prudent extra step would be to make a backup of those tt24 files before doing the uninstall. I hope that helps.
All this BS was not part of what I signed up for when I bought TurboTax 2024. I AGREE WITH gordpope: LOL
