Schedule 3

Awesome, thanks!

Schedule 3

Yes, Schedule 3 was updated and the form can be included in filing.  HOWEVER, Schedule 3 IS NOT FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY.

Whatever changes were done do not help many of us when the T3's and their amounts which are a key feed for Schedule 3 are not transferring the capital gain amounts and the spousal proportions required from the T3 to Schedule 3.

Two issues:

  1. I have T3 slips with amounts in Box 21 but no amounts in other boxes.  If I enter the capital gain shown in Box 21, TurboTax does not include this amount in Schedule 3.  THIS IS AN ERROR.  This amount should be included on Line 17599 in Schedule 3.  (And, if there are also amounts in Box 52 and Box 53, TurboTax needs to ensure that Box 21, Box 52, and Box 53 are not all totalled and transferred as this would double-count the capital gains.)
  2. I have a joint account with my spouse and in accordance with CRA requlations these T3 slips must be shared 50% each between my spouse and myself.   I enter the T3 amounts on the TurboTax T3 slip data fields and the 50% proration for each spouse, but this proration is not transferring to Schedule 3 either.  50% of the capital gains should be on Schedule 3 Line 17599 on my return and the other 50% on my spouse's Schedule 3 Line 17599.  THIS IS ANOTHER ERROR.

So, from my perspective, Schedule 3 IS NOT FIXED.  I've used all of these functions for the past 10+ years and these always worked perfectly with Schedule 3 so some coder broke something this season.

@Last2020 Great news, thanks for sharing.

Schedule 3

Exactly!  This should have been updated today.

Schedule 3

@Erik63 Schedule 3 has been updated, but we still see some issues related to T3. We are aware of this issue, and our development team is working for a resolution. We appreciate your patience.
