When going to file.

i opened a new return and re-entered my info amd submitted without an error but lost a return in my “allowance”.  I called and am supposed to get it credit back to my account.  Also, when entering my student kids returns with low income it asked me if i wanted a complimentary upgrade, i believe accepting it also caused an error as i was not able to submit that return under my deluxe license that i had purchased and my choice was to pay another $20 or re enter without the “ free” upgrade to submit on my deluxe package.  Gotta say, after over a decade of using turbo tax, every year something changes and causes more headache than good.  I am looking for alternative softwares for next year. What started as a good thing is no longer working well or smoothly for me.  I almost prefer the basic forms package such as "studio tax" that is much cheaper and straight forward for a basic return.
