TurboTax Federal & State PC download to external hard drive

Hi – I’m looking to purchase the TurboTax Federal & State PC download from Amazon; however it states that the download size is 524MB. I don’t have 524MB of free space on my PC. Could I download it to an external hard drive and run it from there? I want to make sure this is an option as it states that it’s non-returnable and non-refundable.

Hello,

You should be able to run your Turbotax Desktop version through an external hard drive.

Just ensure you are purchasing the Canadian version of Turbotax (since state + federal is for US tax filings).  You can purchase the Canadian version here or at any of our various retailers:
