Turbotax Netfile Error Code 95365

How about a real person response please.  Enough with the bot.

Turbotax Netfile Error Code 95365

I had the same error.  Talked to a specialist that said error is because some of my capital gains came from a joint account which is from my spouse’s T slips.  His netfile was fine.  There is supposed to be a fix available on Wednesday (April 17th).  I did not have this issue in past years but probably because tax software was modified (related to capital gains changes)

I’m having the same issue. However, this is not a CRA issue, this is a Turbo Tax issue.

I was able to get all my T5008 entries to finally drop down into Schedule 3, if I set the date to 01/01/2024 and set them to capital gains, as was suggested by others in this forum. And then for any T3 Box 21 capital gains, I set any T3 Box 53 capital gains to zero, and added the amounts to the T3 Box 52, to ensure they matched the T3 Box 21. These were then also correctly pulled into Schedule 3.

The problem is the total of all Box 21 T3 slips is NOT POPULATING Box 68140 of Chart A of Form T936 in Turbo Tax, and can’t be overridden. This is creating the CRA error code 95365. This should be an easy coding fix by Turbo Tax. What gives?

I have the exact same issue Gordo. If TurboTax doesn't fix this, I'm wondering if it's best to print and mail my return and have CRA figure it out.

The Admins link to their error codes (in a different thread) suggests removing T3 Box 52 and adding it to Box 53, but that didn't help. They suggest rounding them and Box 21 to the nearest dollar, and that too didn't help.

In my case I have a refund coming, so I can miss the Apr 30 deadline and still be fine. If you owe $$$ to CRA, then the Apr 30 deadline becomes an important one.

I think being prepared to print the return and mailing it in is the only recourse if TT doesn’t resolve this by Apr 30. Again, I don’t believe it’s a CRA issue at all. It’s a TT coding issue. If nothing else, TT should allow us to override the relevant boxes on the T936 as part of their next “update”.

Completely agree!  I've been prevented from filing my return now for over 2 weeks and the issue continues (it was supposed to be resolved today.) This has nothing to do with the CRA.  As several other users have commented, data from Schedule 3 originating from a T3, is simply not being transferred to "Chart A" of the  T936 form.  My Chart A is all zeros, yet all the data is correct on Schedule 3, and this is EXACTLY  what the CRA  is complaining about when I try to NetFile.  And yes, I have tried every recommended work around suggested on the TT blog and support staff without success.

The CRA owes me a LOT of money and I don't want to wait until August for it by giving up on TurboTax, completing Chart A on the T936 form by hand and snail-mailing my wife's and my tax returns into the CRA as a work around.

Same issue here. I'm getting tired of the bot telling me that CRA is to blame.

T936A has empty values that clearly should have been copied from Schedule 3.

Here is the Netfile error(s).

Code: #95365   - There is an entry on the Form T936 and/or on the Schedule 3 and one of the following situations applies to your return. Please verify your entries and make any necessary corrections.
1. You reported a capital gain from a T3 slip on line 17600 of Schedule 3. An entry is also required on line 68140 in Chart A of Form T936. Line 68140 cannot be less than line 17600.
2. There is an entry on line 68140. You also have to report a capital gain (or loss) on line 17600. If the total of your capital gains (or losses) from all your T3 slips is zero, your software should generate an entry of "1" on line 17600.
3. There is an entry on line 68140. You must also have an entry on line 68150. If line 68140 minus line 12 in Chart A is zero, your software should generate an entry of "1" on line 68150.
4. There is an entry on line 68150. An entry is also required on line 68140. Line 68140 cannot be less than line 68150.

When will TT resolve this issue?

TT programmers! … At least give us the ability to override line 68140 and 68150 so we can manually input the values and NETFILE.

This was supposed to be fixed today April 14. There was a TurboTax update, but I'm still having the same problem. Line 68140 on form T936 is not populating. Does anyone have any further information on this. Was it corrected and do I need to do something else to get it working. Maybe re-enter information from T3 slips?
