Where is the information from Box 21 on the T3s appearing? I have entered the information, yet no Capital Gains are appearing on the tax return. I am also experiencing this issue with fork T5008. I am using the Home & Business Desktop version.

Where is the information from Box 21 on the T3s being calculated? I have entered the information, yet no Capital Gains appear on the tax return.

I am also experiencing this issue with form T5008.  I enter the data, but no changes to my income are calculated.

Both pieces of data should appear in the Schedule 3 Capital Gains, but it remains blank.

Please help!

You have to fill in box 52 and53. The sun of amounts in boxes  52 and 53  add up to what in box 21. Nothing eill show up in schedule 3 unless you enter amounts in 52 and 53. Schedule 3 is not populated with amount in 21 but with what is in boxes 52 and 53.

With regards to T5008 you have to input the date of sale in one of the boxes. Unless you fill the dste box, it will not populate schedule 3

I am using preminm addition of turno tax. It worked for me as explained above. Try that out it should work. Unless of course the issue is with business version of turbotax

Yes, it will work, but you shouldn't have to do it.  Many firms issuing T3's are only including Box 21 ... nothing in Box 52 or Box 53 from them.  Unfortunately, the coding in TurboTax is so poor that they haven't accounted for this.

Please note that your return will be accepted by CRA but looks like the CRA is still not ready to process returns where capital gains are repoted thru T3 or T 5008 and there fore there is delay in processing such returns

I filed my return on 19th March which was received by by CRA. indicating that additional time will be required to process. Tracker on my account does not give date for notice of assessment .The status received and in process.

I thought you shoukd be aware of it.

The financial institutions should provide information as per requirement of T3 slip. T3 for 2024 was designrd a while ago and provided to all instititions

For me two different institutions reported amounts in boxes 21, 52 and

53.

One has be aware that the sum of the amounts in box 52 plus 53 must be exactly equal to the amount in box 21

Even a 1cent difference will result in error in calculating and reporting on schedule 3.

100%  Box 21 is definitely the default for most corporations.  A lot of people who aren't as OCD as me are going to be filing incorrect returns, assuming TurboTax is processing the information correctly.
